Four age groups (Anchors age 5-8, Juniors ages 8-11, Company ages 11-15 & Seniors ages 15+) of the BB meet at 1st W-s-M on a Wednesday at 6:15. We always accept new members regardless of religion, ability or behaviour.  We also pride ourselves in providing a programme suitable for the encouragement and nurturing of all our lads.

  • The Boys’ Brigade is a Christian organisation and our meetings do contain some Christian values and content.  Our members are encouraged to attend ‘parade services’ at our church which usually occur nine times a year.

The Object of the Boys’ Brigade [BB] :   The advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness.

The BB at Clarence Park Baptist Church [CPBC] :  Our company has continuously met at CPBC since 1937 and, apart from the WW2 years when reserve officers from Bristol staffed the company,  our officers are members of CPBC.  Many of our current leaders and officers have been parents of members who became enthused over the work of the BB.

  • All our staff are registered with the BB nationally, have current DBS checks undertaken by the church and work strictly within the CPBC safeguarding policy.

Where we belong :  1st W-s-M is an organisation for youth within the outreach work of CPBC.  The Company also belongs to the “Somerset Battalion” which is a group of companies from the geographic area’s of Somerset, Bath and Dorchester.  We meet together for competitions and other events such as combined parties, productions and activity days.  As part of the wider family, we have an active role in the West of England and Channel Isles District and even take part every year in  the International Team Games.  In 2014 we gained 1st place World Wide in the International Games which could have been entered by companies from over 60 countries!

  • Please read our notice board in CPBC hall for details of our activities and achievements.
