Although the current main worship sanctuary was built in 1930 a series of recent refurbishment projects means that we have a wonderful suite of buildings. Our main worship sanctuary holds around 300 people (including the balcony) and is used by a number of our local schools for their Christmas and Harvest and end of year productions.
We have wonderful facilities at CPBC to make all of our buildings accessible to all. There is a permanent sloped ramp access to the front of the church, and a removable sloping ramp for the rear entrance.
All of our toilet facilities have recently been refurbished to make them more accessible.
Our rear hall is a wonderful space land is large enough for a badminton court to be used on it. We have a staged area to one end of the hall, and a pool table for the teenagers. There are PA facilities in the rear hall and an induction loop system is fitted. There is also a pull down screen for video projection and white board facilities.
The hall is also often used by members of our community for children’s birthday parties. As a meeting room the hall can easily seat around 80 people.
Our upper lounge contains a coffee bar, fridge, bistro tables and chairs and white board facilities . This is sometimes referred to as the youth coffee bar because it is equipped with many facilities for them to use as a drop in centre. This room also doubles up as a meeting room and is often used for teaching small groups, holding committee meetings and has even been used as a base for retreat groups. The room can accommodate up to around 15 people when used for meetings.
We have two baby changing area facilities within our church building.
The meeting room is suitable for groups of up to 20. It has an AV screen on the wall and a coffee station facilities with a catering water boiler in the corner.
Our kitchen has recently undergone a refurbishment and is kitted out with a catering water boiler, a gas cooker, plate warming facilities, and an industrial dishwasher.
Our main worship sanctuary has an AV system available running two projectors for both worship software, DVD and video. There are a number of points located around the church for laptops to be plugged into the system along with video cameras and fold back screens. Only trained operators are permitted to use this equipment.
Our modern PA system enables microphones and instruments to be used to enhance the facilities of our worship sanctuary.Only trained operators are permitted to use this equipment.
Both our main worship sanctuary and rear hall are fitted out with hearing aid loops. Users should turn their hearing aids to the ‘ T ‘ position for reception. If you experience problems picking up the loop please speak to the PA operator for assistance.
